SAWW was the first Ramblers group in the country specifically aimed at people between the ages of 35 to 55.

We offer a lively program of walks ranging from short 5 mile walks , all day walks of between 8 to 9 miles and the occasional strenuous walk over 10 miles. The aim is to provide a sociable friendly atmosphere with enjoyable walks and social events.

SAWW was set up in 2003 and has nearly 300 members. Walks are mostly in Surrey, but we often venture further afield into other counties.

You can come along on up to 3 walks before joining. No need to book, just turn-up. You may want to look at our New Walker Checklist first for some useful hints and tips.

By joining SAWW you become a member of Ramblers, a charity that works to protect our footpaths and rights of way.

As a Ramblers member you can walk with any one of over 500 Ramblers groups around Great Britain, you will also receive 10-20% discount at leading outdoor stores like Cotswold, Blacks and Millets, and receive a regular copy of WALK magazine.
