About us
SAWW
is all about great walks and good company. We're the largest walking
group in Surrey aimed at the 35-55 age range. We're part of the
Ramblers, the charity working for walkers.
SAWW was set up in
2003 and has over 300 members. We have a choice of three walks most
weekends in Surrey and right across South East England.
In our programme you'll find
everything from short easy strolls up to energetic 12-mile hikes. We also
organise evening socials and walking minbreaks around the UK, as well as the
occasional trip abroad. You'll be with friends the moment you come on
your first walk because we go the extra mile to welcome newcomers.
Walk with us up to three times and then decide if you'd like to join us by
becoming a member of The Ramblers. The Ramblers is Britain's walking
charity, fighting to safeguard the footpaths, the countryside and other
places we go walking, and encouraging more people to take up walking. With
125,000 members in England, Scotland and Wales, we've been working for
walkers for 75 years.
It's a great way to share your joy of the
countryside with like-minded people. As a member you'll also receive
discounts of 10-20% at leading outdoor stores like Cotswold, Blacks and
Millets. And you can walk with any of our hundreds of local groups around
the country.

If you're over 55 or you'd prefer not to be in an age-targeted club, have a
look at our sister group,
Surrey &
Beyond Ramblers (Sabre) or see the
Surrey Ramblers website for
details of our other walking groups in Surrey and South West London.
